Hello, and thanks for checking out my web page.
I’m an experienced Broadcast Engineer that works in Manhattan every day—but I still have time for a few good clients. If you have an engineer (or engineers) that are good--but need a little help now and then—or you can’t find anyone to handle your engineering problems—or something in between, then contact me. We can have a free, no-obligation chat (either by phone or e-mail) and I’ll let you know how I can help you.
One of my more recent projects was in Florida, so yes--I do travel. Please see my 'contact' page and leave me an e-mail or give me a call. I look forward to talking radio with you!
The list that follows is a set of what I consider to be my particular strengths (in no particular order); however I am by no means limited to these.
Audio over IP--for applications such as remote broadcasts, or remote LANs (like the transmitter site)
Other LAN/WAN issues
• Taming old or unreliable transmitters
• New transmitter installations
• AM directional-antenna maintenance and repair
• STL Interference mitigation
• Analysis of air-chains with an ear towards improving a station’s competitive sound
• Implementation of new audio processing (AM, FM, HD, or streaming)
• Upgrading studio to transmitter link systems
• Studio upgrades
• Studio or transmitter plant design--capital planning and budgeting
• HD radio implementation
I’m also a public speaker on the topic of Broadcasting and radio communications. I gave a presentation at the 123rd AES convention in New York City (Jacob Javits Center) in October of 2007 called Just what is RF, anyway? In addition to that I’ve been a guest lecturer in the broadcast program at Seton Hall University. I’m a published author with an extensive series of technical articles that have been published in the hard-copy and on-line versions of Radio Magazine over the last 7 years. In fact, I have been just been awarded Best Technical Article, Book or Program by an SBE Member Award for the 2007 SBE Awards Program. I won the same award for 2006.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you enjoy looking at my web site. Please feel free to leave feedback.
