High-level participant in the consolidation moves of all 5 of Clear Channel's New York radio stations in to our present facility at 32 Avenue of the Americas in downtown Manhattan
I have become the principal member of NYC Engineering that watches over all transmitters of the 5 stations--one of the most (if not the most) successful radio groups in the entire country. First point of contact for transmitter problems--WLTW, WAXQ, WKTU
Chief Engineer of WKTU--a station that regularly reaches a cume of over 5 million people
Prior Position: Director of Engineering for Clear Channel Radio in Seattle
Executed move-in of KMNT (now KNBQ) from Centralia to Seattle market (2004)
- Started with basic framework of the project, developed by Regional VP of Engineering
- Chose all contractors including electrical, A/C, construction, antenna riggers
- Directed all contractor work to CC specifications
- Installed transmitter, and commissioned site
- Brought site on-line on-time and on-budget
Directed construction/installation of all CC HD radio projects in Seattle
- KJR-FM HD brought up May of 2005
- KUBE HD brought up May of 2005
- KJR-FM HD-2 brought up January of 2006
- KUBE HD-2 brought up January of 2006
- KHHO-AM HD brought up May 2006
- KFNK-FM HD brought up June of 2006
- All projects on-time (in fact early) and all on-budget
As the Director of Engineering…
- Manage staff of 5
- Operating budget exceeds $1M
- Managed capital expense of over $1M over last 2.5 years
Prior position: Director of Engineering for Clear Channel Radio in San Francisco
- Principal company Engineer on KISQ/KEAR antenna diplex project (2002).
- Principal company Engineer on major KNEW upgrade-power increase, new transmitter, building modifications, catwalk repairs and mitigation of deterioration of concrete structures in water. Principal interface with Civil Engineer (2002).
- Engineer responsible for budgeting and execution of last Clear Channel consolidation project in SF-moving of KISQ from 750 Battery to 340 Townsend St.
- Primary company liason with general contractor (2001).
- Engineer responsible for execution of KKSF move from 455 Market to 340 Townsend St. Intense interaction with contractors, architect, interior designer (1998). Move occurred on-time and on-budget.
- Managed staff of 6; operating budget nearly $2M per year; managed over $3M in capital spending between 1998 and 2003
